Our Story

It all started in 2022 when we were searching for golf gear that felt like home. Everywhere we looked was loaded with beachy things. Don't get us wrong, we love a trip to the beach, but we set out to make golf gear that represented our Midwest roots.

We launched in March of 2023 with 40 custom-designed, locally-themed headcovers and some hats in the corner of our bedroom.

"Someone should make Midwest polos."

Through the summer of '23, Dan needed some new polos. He's a golf professional - they wear polos hard. Everything was covered in palm trees, so many brands he liked had collars that would wrinkle, and they were all over $100. As we shopped online one night, Katy said, "Someone should make Midwest polos. I wish we could find a polo with wheat stalks in place of palm trees."

Who knew those words would change our lives.

"Someone should make.." quickly turned into "Why not us?". We'd spent our entire lives around golf and despite having zero fashion industry experience, set out to make a premium golf polo. Performance fabric ready for all the elements, an accessible price point, classy yet fun designs, and most of all, a collar that'll stay sharp was after wash.

The first batch arrived in March 2024. As it turned out, we weren't the only folks craving a classy polo with new prints. Since then, over 5,000 polos and hoodies are in the wild.

The Journey is the Reward

Today, we're all in on building a great apparel brand. Katy left a 12-year corporate finance career in 2024 to give this a shot. Dan teaches and fits golfers by day while supporting 35x70 Golf Co. by night. The business has been bootstrapped since the beginning.

We've learned golf and business have a lot in common. They're both games that can only be played, never won. We're grateful to be here - every day, like every tee time, is the next opportunity for a great round. The journey thus far has been a blast, and it's just getting started.
